Fudds Saskatoon Is Committed To Waste Diversion Fuddruckers is proud to announce the implementation of the Loraas Organics Program. Utilizing Loraas Organics bins at Fudds Saskatoon is an important step in our commitment to fostering a healthier community.
Through the Loraas Organics program, Fudds Saskatoon has been able to divert food waste materials from the landfill, and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. When organic materials decompose at a landfill methane gas is produced, which is one of the greatest contributors to global warming. The Loraas Organics Program enables organic waste to be processed and turned into high-grade compost to naturally enhance soil. With the help of the Loraas Organics program, we at Fudds are able to do our part in lowering GHG emissions, by diverting waste from the landfill, and turning food waste into usable form – compost.
Since the implementation of Loraas Organics program, Fudds Saskatoon has been able to divert a substantial amount of waste from ending up at the landfill.
